PLACEMENT PROCESS
December through February
  • Students take placement test
  • EXPLORE
  • - Scores from the Explore test are   used to determine initial course placement
  • - Based upon students Explore performance, rankings of students are identified.

Sender School Recommendations
  • Eighth-grade teachers provide placement
  • recommendations for students based upon initial placements
  • Reading may be required for students scoring below a set score on the
  • EXPLORE Reading subtest
  • Summer Bridge Program for Reading and Double Algebra or Pre-Algebra placements. Students will take both Reading and Math classes during this summer program.  Tuition, books and transportation will be provided free of charge. Letters inviting students to participate will be sent directly to the student’s family.
