The Learning ProcessWithin the ATC, student learning is outcome-based and portfolio assessment is used exclusively for student assessment in many of the classes offered. The ATC helps students and teachers explore new areas of technology-based concepts. Students transfer newly acquired knowledge to make decisions about future problems or tasks. The ATC's open design allows for the easy movement of students from one area to another. The many walls of glass create a high degree of visibility that allows the student to utilize more than one area for the completion of an assignment or project. It is hoped that all students will at some time make use of the facilities at both campuses. We are sure you will enjoy learning and exploring in a facility where you can experience and interact with the tools of today. The ATC has been designed to help you understand many areas of technology and to integrate your traditional academic learning with application and problem-solving skills. The major focus is to help you be prepared for a technologically diverse and rapidly changing world. |
