COURSE
OVERVIEW:
|
| This
course is designed with a strong emphasis on individual activities
that encourage a life of fitness through enjoyment in leisure
activities. Physical
fitness well be assessed and students will participate in a
cardiovascular program to maintain or improve fitness.

 | Be able to function as a linesman, scorekeeper, referee
and umpire in a large group or dual situation. (21.A.5) |
 | Be able to use game courtesies and strategies to

 | Assess and record individual fitness scores. (20.B.5a)

 | Be able to wear a Polar transmitter, strap and monitor
to evaluate heart rate response during exercise or activity. (24.C.5)

 | Encourage classmates to work toward a team goal.

OVERVIEW:

| This
class focuses on individual sports, team sports, and personal fitness.
Students will learn the rules, skills, and strategies used
during game play. Physical
fitness will be assessed and students will participate in
cardiovascular, strength, and flexibility training.
