COURSE OVERVIEW:
|
| This course provides students with the
opportunity to develop skills in lifelong athletic and leisure activities.
The areas of focus being offered are golf, roller-skating, country line
dancing and cardiovascular fitness. Students will be provided with the
practical experience necessary to continue their involvement in these
activities throughout their lifetime. The information provided to the
students in this course will give them the knowledge necessary to appreciate
and understand these activities as a spectator. Physical fitness will be
assessed and students will participate in a cardiovascular training program
to maintain or to improve physical fitness. A fee is charged for off-campus activities. |

OVERVIEW:

| Cross country skiing, fencing, fitness
walking, bowling and archery offer students a wide variety of individual
activities that will enhance physical fitness now and in the future. Basic
skills are emphasized for personal development and enjoyment. The
information provided will develop a student to become a more intelligent
participant as well as a more educated observer. Physical fitness will be
assessed and students will participate in a cardiovascular training program
to maintain or to improve physical fitness. A fee is charged for off-campus activities. |
