COURSE
OVERVIEW:
|
Team sports/wellness is a fitness course
that uses team sports as a vehicle to promote life long mental and physical
wellness. Four days a week participation in team sports and one day a week
participation in an aerobic activity will be used to achieve the course
objective.

OUTCOMES:

 | Assess personal fitness. |
 | Learn how to maintain personal fitness throughout life. |
 | Exit with average or above average fitness component in
cardio-vascular endurance. |
 | Exit with an average or above average knowledge of
vocabulary used in the covered team sports. |
 | Exit with an average or above average knowledge of
rules used in the covered sports. |

| UNIQUE/SPECIAL
STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS COURSE:

 | Dress in the required Lake Park physical education
uniform. |
 | Participate to the best of ability in daily activities. |
 | Keep a folder with all handouts. |
 | Complete all required assignments. |
 | Be able to demonstrate verbally or physically basic
skills used in each one of the covered sports. |
