Meet Mr. Sichz |

I love teaching Social Studies! I started teaching in 2000, and I have been at Lake Park high school since 2004. Currently, I teach American History and Government classes to juniors and seniors at the West Campus. I also coach the Freshmen boys soccer team and I am involved with Youth and Government at Lake Park. I grew up in Elmhurst, Illinois and graduated from York high school before going off to college. I went to Miami of Ohio where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in History. After college I worked at several unfullfilling jobs before figuring out what I wanted to be when I grew up. Eventually, I decided that I wanted to become a teacher so I attended the University of Illinois at Chicago where I earned a Master's Degree in Education. I began my teaching career as a student teacher at Lake Park, and I've loved teaching ever since. I live with my wife and three children in Lombard, Illinois. We enjoy "family adventures" around Chicagoland and traveling together during the summer. When I'm not teaching at Lake Park or chasing after my children at home, you can usually find me playing golf or soccer, watching sports on TV or in person, or listening to music.
